The Ministry of Transport , proceeding from the updated Transport Strategy, has set the following goals for development of regional air carriage: ensuring accessibility; increasing the number of air passengers; providing conditions for enhanced business activities. This was revealed by Deputy Minister of Transport Valery Okulov during the сonference on the Development of the Regional Carriage Market in the Russian Federation held as part of the Transport of Russia IV International Forum.

The instruments for promoting electric vehicles on the Russian market, the choice between electric and hybrid vehicles, the environmental features of electric vehicles and measures of state support for introducing them were discussed by the round table on the Electric Vehicle Market in Russia: Economic and Infrastructure Challenges held as part of the Transport of Russia IV International Forum.

The Programme for Development of the Moscow Transport Hub up  to 2020 is to be reworked in connection with the capital’s expansion, Russia’s Deputy Transport Minister Oleg Belozerov revealed during the expert dialogue “Moscow 2020: Transformation of the Transport Ideology” held as part of the VI International Forum “Transport of Russia”.

The VI International Forum and Exhibition “Transport of Russia” opened at the Gostiny Dvor complex in Moscow today as part of the Transport Week 2012. Representatives of federal executive bodies, heads of regions and regional transport agencies, representatives of transport companies, freight owners and financial institutions have gathered to discuss the key aspects of development of the transport industry.

The VI International Forum and Exhibition “Transport of Russia”, which together make up the key events of Transport Week 2012, will be held at the Gostiny Dvor complex in Moscow on 6–8 December. This year’s event will mark the sixth time that representatives from all the transport sectors, specialised state administration bodies, the scientific community and NGOs have come together under the auspices of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation on a single discussion and exhibition platform.

Transport Week 2012 will take place in Gostiny Dvor, Moscow, from 3 to 8 December 2012. This will be the sixth time that leading experts in the transport industry get together at the same discussion and exhibition venue under the auspices of the Russian Federation’s Ministry of Transport to take part in a range of business, scientific, social and cultural events.
