Official greetings to the participants and guests of the Forum “Transport of Russia”

The organisers, participants and guests of the 7th International Forum and Exhibition “Transport of Russia” receive official letters of support.

Speaker of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Sergey Naryshkin has sent an official greeting to the organisers, participants and guests of the 7th International Forum and Exhibition “Transport of Russia”, in which he notes: “The broad professional discussions help review the results of the work already performed and identify priority areas for further development of the transport complex.”

In his address to the participants in the event, Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Maksim Sokolov mentioned the importance of discussing ways to promote investment in the transport sector, adding that this challenge remained relevant for the entire international transport community: “In order to meet the transportation requirements of the world economy, a quality infrastructure and investment “breakthrough” are called for with a view to increasing the capacity of international transport corridors, improving transport communications between cities and urban agglomerations as the centres of economic life […] The International Forum and Exhibition “Transport of Russia” will encourage both the public and private sectors to redouble their efforts to address these crucial challenges.”

The 7th International Forum and Exhibition “Transport of Russia”, the pivotal event of Transport Week 2013, will take place at Moscow’s Gostiny Dvor from 5 to 7 December 2013. A report on the progress of the Federal Target Programme “Development of the Russian Transport System in 2010-2015” will be presented during the Transport Week. For the first time, the event will feature conferences focusing on development of the transport sector.
