Maxim Sokolov: “Transport of Russia 2012 will act as a catalyst for strategic solutions aimed at developing the entire Russian transport system”

The VI International Forum and Exhibition “Transport of Russia”, which together make up the key events of Transport Week 2012, will be held at the Gostiny Dvor complex in Moscow on 6–8 December. This year’s event will mark the sixth time that representatives from all the transport sectors, specialised state administration bodies, the scientific community and NGOs have come together under the auspices of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation on a single discussion and exhibition platform.

The exhibit will cover an area of 3500 square metres, 14.7% more than in 2011. It will feature innovations in the sphere of transport and infrastructure projects. The exhibition aims to attract investments in projects in the transport sector, establish and develop interregional and cross-sector relations, and promote the integration of Russian transport into the global transportation system.

Among the exhibitors will be manufacturers in the transport sector, freight and passenger transport carriers, owners and operators of transport infrastructure, regions presenting major infrastructure projects, investment companies and banks, construction companies, manufacturers and suppliers of communication and safety equipment and alarm systems. The exhibit will also be attended by service and maintenance companies, logistics and insurance companies, research institutions, educational establishments and transport industry media.
