The Federal Authority for Transport Oversight is a federal authority of the executive power which exercises control (oversight) functions in the field of civil aviation, use of the airspace of the Russian Federation, air navigation service provided to the users of the airspace, as well in the field of
maritime, river, railway, automobile and municipal land electrical transport, public road system and ensuring transport safety and security.
