The transport industry’s leading representatives are coming together for Transport Week 2013
Transport Week 2013 will be held in Moscow from 2 to 7 December. Along with annual events such as the Transport of Russia International Forum and Exhibition, ROAD TRAFFIC RUSSIA International Congress, the Spartakiad Games of Transport University Students, the TranspArt Russian Art Festival and the Youth Forum, a series of conferences dedicated to the development of the transport industry will be held for the first time as part of Transport Week.
Among planned events are the Young Scientists of the Transport Industry conference, the Problems and Prospects for Transport Development international conference, the International Transport Security for Passengers and Goods conference, a round table discussion on human resources in the transport sector, as well as the first forum about transport education.
More than 5000 delegates traditionally participate in Transport Week events, including:
- Members of the Government of the Russian Federation,
- Management of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation and specialized agencies,
- Heads of foreign ministries and departments,
- The heads of Russian regions and regional transportation agencies,
- Heads of major companies and state-owned corporations,
- Representatives of branch associations and unions,
- Representatives of major business and industry media.
This year’s Transport Week program will present the latest achievements of the Russian transportation system, including demonstrations of the Baikal – Amur development projects, Trans – Siberian and high-speed line developments, the central Ring Road, the Taman Port development, as well as advances in Moscow and Moscow aviation transport hubs.
