SIBMOST OJSC confirms participation in Transport Week 2013 as its General Sponsor
Open Joint Stock Company Sibmost is one of Russia’s leading bridge-building companies. Sibmost offers a comprehensive range of services in building, reconstruction and repair of highways and railways with artificial structures, bridges, flyovers, runways and airports. Since its inception, Sibmost has built more than 4,100 bridges and flyovers totalling over 400 kilometres in length. Sibmost operates in 12 Russian regions.
Sibmost’s main customers are the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, Russian Railways JSCo, the Ministry for Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Federal State Unitary Enterprise Administration of Civil Airports, the Federal Highways Administration Siberia, the Federal Highways Administration Altai, the Federal Highways Administration Yenisei, Transstroy Corporation, Kuzbass Highways Directorate, Bamstroymekhanizatsiya, etc.
Sibmost’s key projects over the past few years have been: the northern bypass of Novosibirsk — a 76.4 km highway; Gorno-Altaisk Airport with an extension of its runway to meet the second category ICAO requirements and upgrade the airport’s class from D to B; a bridge crossing the river Vostochnaya Khandyga — the largest infrastructure project in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia); the 4.3 km low-level bridge over the Amur Bay; Pushkinskaya transport junction in Tomsk; a bridge crossing the river Barguzin in the Republic of Buryatia; Russia’s longest anti-avalanche gallery on the Abakan – Kyzyk highway; a bridge crossing the river Bolshaya Keteme in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia); and a bridge over the river Tamma (railway line Berkakit – Tommot – Yakutsk) in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
Sibmost owns modern production facilities, a network of approach roads and a fleet of specialised machines, lifting cranes and trucks: more than 1,600 units, including 225 winterised vehicles. The average number of listed personnel is 4,100. The total number of Sibmost personnel, including branches and affiliates, is more than 6,000.
During the industry exhibition “Transport of Russia 2013”, Sibmost OJSC will present virtual tours of the major construction sites: the third highway bridge crossing the River Ob in Novosibirsk and the fourth highway bridge crossing the River Yenisei in Krasnoyarsk.
The 7th International Forum and Exhibition “Transport of Russia”, the pivotal event of Transport Week 2013, will be held at Moscow’s Gostiny Dvor from 5 to 7 December 2013. The main theme of the International Forum and Exhibition “Transport of Russia” this year is “Investments in the Transport Sector”. This theme will be the focus of the plenary discussion “Transport in Russia: Contours of Investment Policy”, which will take place at Gostiny Dvor on 5 December. Furthermore, a report on the progress of the Federal Targeted Programme “Development of the Russian Transport System in 2010-2015” will be presented during Transport Week 2013. The event will also feature conferences focusing on development of the transport sector.
