Exhibition area of the 7th International Forum and Exhibition “Transport of Russia” is fully booked

All the exhibition space at the 7th International Forum and Exhibition “Transport of Russia” is sold out two weeks ahead of the event

The exhibition space at the Gostiny Dvor Complex, which will play host to the 7th International Exhibition “Transport of Russia” as part of the “Transport Week 2013”, has been sold out two weeks ahead of the official opening of the Forum. This year, the major transport companies will present their displays in the sections Infrastructure, Engineering, Transport Science, Transport Services, Technologies and Communications, and Regional Projects on 3,500 square metres of exhibition area. The latest achievements of the Russian transport complex will be showcased during implementation of the Federal Target Programme “Development of the Russian Transport System 2010-2015”.

The most exciting projects include the Novaya Armada type tankers by the Palmali Group, the third highway bridge crossing the river Ob in Novosibirsk, a network of toll highways in the Russian Federation and of roads within the Moscow Outer Ring, coupled with development of the road network of the Moscow transport hub, as well as the most sophisticated infrastructure project of the upcoming Winter Olympics: the combined railway and motorway route Adler – Alpika-Service station (Krasnaya Polyana).

Russia’s biggest multimodal container operator, JSC TransContainer, will present the project “Transsib in Seven Days”. Accelerated freight transportation by container trains on the Trans-Siberian Railway amounted to 11,240 containers in January-September 2013, with an average delivery speed of 1,100 kilometres a day. The project enables freight consolidation, ensures a shorter delivery period and higher routing share, and reduces yard operation at train stations.

Just as interesting will be the model of the Marine Multiuse Complex Bronka, which is currently under construction in St Petersburg. The complex is scheduled to welcome its first vessel in 2015. Upon completion of the port, it will be capable of handling Panamax-type container carriers and Finnstar-type ferries.

The exhibition stand of Federal State Unitary Enterprise State Design, Development and Research Institute of Civil Aviation Aeroproject will feature a documentary about development of the airports of the Moscow aviation hub.

History enthusiasts will enjoy a display of historical artifacts discovered during construction and design operations at the facilities of NPP FORTEX LLC. The stand of the Federal Railway Transport Agency will present models of rolling stock, genuine telegraph devices and signalling lights produced in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, as well as copies of watercolour paintings and lithographs on view at the Railway Transport Museum.
