A series of industry conferences on the issue of developing the main types of transport will be held as part of Transport Week 2014

       A series of industry conferences on the issue of developing the main types of transport, including aviation, road, water and other types of transport, will be held as part of Transport Week 2014 from 1-6 December in Moscow.

In addition, specialised business formats are to focus on issues involving the operation of transport within the Common Economic Space (CEP) between Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, the security of the transport sector as well as the modernisation of transport infrastructure for major international projects. Several of the business programme themes to be considered:

  • How the "gold" of Russian transport was mined. Strategy for the utilisation rate of Sochi infrastructure and the economics of transportation during the post-Olympic period;
  • The new logic of passenger air transportation: how should public demand for the affordability of air travel be satisfied?
  • Policy of sustainable coverage. How should the network of airports be optimised and the transit potential of airspace be utilised?
  • CEP transport: integration standards for Eurasian shipments.

Considerable attention is to be devoted to the development of the transport system of Crimea and its integration into the Russian transport sector.

The final themes will be determined later.

Transport Week 2014 is held from 1-6 December in Moscow at the Gostiny Dvor Exhibition Centre. This major annual event for the industry that brings together the representatives of all types of transport includes a series of Russian and international events on transport problems.

Events to be held as part of Transport Week 2014 include the eighth International Forum and Exhibition Transport of Russia, a business breakfast with the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation, the second Transport Education Forum, the Young Transport Industry Scientists Forum, and the International Congress ROAD TRAFFIC RUSSIA – 2014. Road Traffic Management in the Russian Federation, the sixth Russian Spartakiad Games of Transport University Students, and the Russian Festival of Arts for Transport University Students "TranspArt-2014".
