News on participants in Transport Week – 2014

SIBMOST JSC has confirmed it will take part in Transport Week – 2014 as a General Sponsor.

Sibmost JSC is one of the leading bridge-building enterprises in the country. It provides a full range of construction, reconstruction and repair work on highway and railways with artificial constructions, bridges, overpasses, runways and airports.

Sibmost has built more than 4,100 bridges and overpasses with total length of more than 400 km in Russia and CIS countries.

Sibmost operates in 12 regions of Russia. The company's main customers are the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, JSC Russian Railways and the Ministry of Economic Development.

In recent years, the company has put the following key national facilities into operation: a 400-metre bridge across the Barguzin River in Buryatia; the Novosibirsk northern bypass – a 76.4-km freeway; the Gorno-Altaisk airport with an extension in the runway for compliance with the Category II parameters of the International Civil Aviation Organization and an improvement in the airport category from Class D to Class B; the largest infrastructure facility in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) – a 389-metre bridge crossing across the East Khandyga River; a 4.3-km low-water bridge across Amur Bay; Bratsky bridge across the Yenisei River to bypass Abakan; a bridge across the Tom River in Kemerovo (the widest beyond the Urals); a bridge across the Chulym River in the Tomsk Region; a bridge across the Yenisei River for the complete bypass of Krasnoyarsk; and the Pushkin transport interchange in Tomsk.

Transport Week 2014 is held from 1–6 December in Moscow at the Gostiny Dvor Exhibition Centre. This major annual event for the industry that brings together the representatives of all types of transport includes a series of Russian and international events on transport problems.

Events to be held as part of Transport Week 2014 include the eighth International Forum and Exhibition Transport of Russia, a business breakfast with the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation, the second Transport Education Forum, the Young Transport Industry Scientists Forum, and the International Road Congress ROAD TRAFFIC RUSSIA – 2014. Traffic Organisation in the Russian Federation, the sixth Russian Spartakiad of Transport University Students, and the Russian Art Festival of Transport University Students "TranspArt-2014".
