News of Participants in Transport Week 2014

State Corporation "Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)" has confirmed it will be involved in Transport Week 2014 as the "General Bank".

State Corporation "Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)" was established in 2007 by Federal Law of the Russian Federation "On the Bank for Development" through reorganisation of Vnesheconombank of the USSR.

The Bank for Development is a key instrument for implementing state economic policy for removing infrastructure-related growth restraints, making more efficient use of natural resources, developing high technology industries, unlocking the innovation and manufacturing potential of small and medium-sized enterprises, and supporting exports of industrial goods and services.

Vnesheconombank is involved in implementing investment projects that are deemed to be critically important for the country's economic development but appear to be too large, complex or take too long to pay back to receive sufficient resources from the private sector. The Bank supports projects by providing loans, including in association with financial institutions, and guarantees.

Transport Week 2014 will take place at the Gostiny Dvor Exhibition Centre, Moscow, from 1 to 6 December 2014. Transport Week 2014 will feature the VIII International Exhibition "Transport of Russia", a Business Breakfast with the Minister of Transport, the II Transport Education Forum, the "Young Scientists of the Transport Sector" Forum, the International Congress "ROAD TRAFFIC Russia 2014. Traffic Management in the Russian Federation", the VI Russian Spartakiad Games of Transport University Students, and the "TranspART 2014" All-Russian Art Festival of Transport University Students.
