News of Participants in Transport Week 2014

Federal State Unitary Enterprise Rosmorport will support Transport Week 2014 as its "Strategic Partner".

Rosmorport is a strategic port operator established in 2003 with a view to improving state administration practices at Russia's seaports.

The company has operations in 57 out of Russia's 67 seaports and consists of a central office and 16 branches in 19 constituent entities of the Russian Federation with more than 6,000 employees.

The company's mission is to ensure navigation safety at seaports and in the approaches to seaports, and development of the port infrastructure and to enhance the competitiveness of Russian ports through effective management and use of federal property.

Rosmorport is Russia's biggest owner of coastal and port infrastructure facilities, auxiliary vessels and diesel icebreaker vessels.

The company's icebreaker fleet — the biggest in the world — includes 29 icebreakers of various types and capacities. Rosmorport icebreakers escort up to 10,000 vessels annually, providing for transportation of more than 70 m tonnes of cargoes by freight vessels and ensuring all-season accessibility of Russian seaports.

Since 2005, the company has invested about RUB 100 bn in seaport infrastructure facilities.

Rosmorport believes that the Strategy for Development of Russia's Seaport Infrastructure up to 2030, developed by the company and submitted to the Government of the Russian Federation, will contribute to further development of Russia's port facilities.

Transport Week 2014 will take place at the Gostiny Dvor Complex, Moscow, from 1 to 6 December 2014. Transport Week 2014 will feature the VIII International Forum and Exhibition "Transport of Russia", a Business Breakfast with the Minister of Transport, the II Forum of Transport Education, the "Young Scientists of the Transport Industry" Forum, the International Congress ROAD TRAFFIC RUSSIA-2014 "Traffic Management in the Russian Federation", the VI Russian Sports Festival for Transport Universities Students and the "TranspART-2014" All-Russia Festival of Arts for Students of Transport Universities.
