Transport Week will be held in Moscow on November 16–21

Transport Week is the main event of the transport industry, which will be held in Moscow on November 16–21, 2019 and will become the culminating event of the celebration of the 210th anniversary of transport department and transport education in Russia.

The event is held for the 13th time by the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation with the organizational support of Business Dialogue Company. The scale and format of the event, the number of people who participate in it, and the strategically important documents that are signed during it, speak to the fact that Transport Week is deservedly considered one of the largest international industry events.

In 2019, following activities are planned within Transport Week:

  • XI International sports festival for transport universities students,
  • The TranspART International festival for transport universities students,
  • XIII International Forum Transport of Russia;
  • XIII International Exhibition Transport of Russia;
  • X International Congress ROAD TRAFFIC RUSSIA;
  • Coordination Transport Meeting of the CIS member states,
  • VI Formula of Motion National Award for achievements in the sphere of transport and transport infrastructure,
  • Transport Working Group of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC).

Of the multitude of events that occur during Transport Week, the Forum and Exhibition Transport of Russia remain key events The Forum includes conferences devoted to the development and functionality of road, air, rail, sea, and river transport. The exhibition, in turn, demonstrates the latest developments and innovations within the transport industry. The content of these events largely determines the direction of future developments within the transport sector.

The main theme of the Forum in this year: Transport in the Context of Eurasian Integration. Basis for a Sustainable Development. Implementation of international transport projects, sectoral priorities of transport activity of EAEC countries, improvement and harmonization of transport legislation, as well as optimization of transportation processes will be discussed as a part of the main panel discussion with the participation of heads of transport departments of Eurasian Economic Community.

The Working Transport Group of the APEC will be held in the framework of Transport Week for the first time. The meeting of the Working Group will be attended by representatives from 21 countries. The meeting will allow to demonstrate the latest achievements of the Russian transport system to foreign partners and introduce measures to develop the national transport system and announce key transport and infrastructure projects.
