II International Transport Forum “Russian Transport-2008”

The main goal of the Forum is to provide a single platform for the discussion of most topical issues in the transport sector of Russia in general, including its development strategy and main trends of sub-sector development, international cooperation and prospects of up-to-date transport infrastructure deployment in Russia.

- The main approaches to the reform in the Russian transport sector;
- The importance of the national transport network for international cargo turnover;
- The development of transport in the Russian Federation for the period from 2010 to 2015;
- Ways to balance and improve safety of the transport system in Russia;
- Russia’s air transport;
- Automotive transport in Russia;
- Transportation by rail in Russia;
- River and sea transport in Russia;
- Russia’s Internal waterways;
Participants:
Representatives of the Russian Transport ministry, legislative and executive powers, sector-oriented federal agencies and services, not-profit social organizations, Russian Railways JSC, large Russian and international air carriers, shipping companies, heads and leading specialists of the most prominent international and Russian transport and freight forwarding organizations, transport ministries and agencies of Europe and Asia, manufacturers and owners of rolling stock and infrastructure, representatives of transport hubs, seaports, airports and cargo terminals, high-profile consignors, finance institutions, insurance companies and banks.
Planned number of participants: about 1,000 from over 20 nations. About 4,500 delegates will be able to attend the Transport Week-2008.
